The Caribbean Pirate Pipe

Clay pipes made in Gouda, Holland have been found all over the world.  These are called our Caribbean Pirate Pipes because the Dutch explored the West Indies during the time pirate ships roamed the seas. These are also called the Dutch Gouda pipe on our site – same pipe, different labeling.

Our replica pirate pipes are made in the U.S.A. and now come with a black tip standard. You can also purchase this pipe without the varnished tip. Tip of the pipe is black varnish that will help prevent the dreaded “stick-to-your-lips” experience that can sometimes occur with a plain clay pipe.

Please note: When available you can choose the standard black varnished tip or the all-white without varnish. If a particular version is not available it will not show up in the drop-down below. If the all-white is not available check the Dutch Gouda Pipe which is all-white.

NOTE: The black-tipped pipes have a varnish applied to them so you do not want to check “add varnish to my pipe” on the checkout page. This would add an additional $2.00 to your order when you have already paid for the varnish.

We are expecting to have more in stock some time in October, 2023

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

This pipe is the kind found on sailing ships during the 17th and 18th centuries when merchants, explorers, naval vessels, and pirates sailed the seas. This pipe has been used in motion pictures and short films set at the time of the tall sailing ships.
