Brinkmann Clay Tobacco Pipe 085
The pipes were commissioned to be used as testing pipes for smokers of the Brinkmann Tobacco Company, founded in 1813 by Martin Brinkmann in Bremen, Germany.
This pipe was probably made in Germany with the shorter one being produced in Holland, although the companies which were commissioned to produce the pipes may have varied with some being made in Germany and some produced elsewhere.
This traditional clay pipe is made using hand-pressed clay into molds with an image of a man with a broad tobacco leaf and the work Brinkmann embossed on both sides of the bowl.
