Classic German Hunter Pipe GH14
An antique German Hunter pipe with a wooden bowl and a long wooden stem. The pipe has a horn mouthpiece.
As hunter pipes go these are exceptional pieces. You may want to take some time to break this in as the bowl will need to have a carbon build-up to protect it against burning. While most likely made in post-war Germany, they could be from pre-war stock, but in any case, these are no later than the Cold War era and made in the former East Germany.
Length from mouthpiece to the tip of the base: 17 inches
Height of bowl: approximately 3″ and fits into a carved wooden base that is 2.5″ from the tip to where the bowl is inserted. The base appears to be carved in the shape of a deer or elk.
