The Marbled Dutch Gouda Style Pipe is a unique mix of white and red clays that combine to form a two-toned swirl of color throughout the pipe. Each pipe is different and the pipe you get will not match the ones in the photo. The design derived from the addition of the red clay can range from subtle to pronounced and when we feel the design is too underplayed, we mark it as Slightly Marbled. The all-white version is also known as the Caribbean Pirate Pipe.
Clay pipes made in Gouda, Holland have been found all over the world. The Dutch were craftsmen in the trade and many of the individual pipe makers imprinted their symbols into the molds used to fashion their pipes.
