Two 1950s Skippy Pipes
These 1950’s briar Skippy pipes have never been smoked. They are both new vintage pipes and rare collector’s items.
These are very light. The bulldog weighs 0.8 ounces and the hexagon bowl pipe only weighs half an ounce.
These are sold as a lot of two pipes.
The hexagon pipe is a very short 4.75″ long with a bowl height of a little over an inch. The tobacco chamber is small but not exceedingly so and should provide at least a 20-minute smoke. A slow smoking expert should tease even more time from his bowl.
The straight bulldog is 5.25″ with a bowl height of 1.375″ with a medium-capacity tobacco chamber. Both pipes have a dark brown smooth finish and a metal condenser insert.
They are stamped with the words Skippy Bruyere Garantie on one side of the stem and Prince on the other. Made when your grandfather was a child, unless, of course, you are the grandfather, in which case you should feel right at home with these great little pipes.
