Special – Rusticated/Sandblast 3 Pipe set

Each of the three pipes in this set has “Special” stamped on the stem. What makes them “special” other than the fact that we’ve put them all into one 3-pipe set? Good question. We think the blocks of wood from which these were carved may supply the answer.

These pipes are more likely than not made of hardwood, possibly maple, but not briar, therefore rather than breaking up this happy family and selling them as separate uniquely carved pipes, we are putting them together in one package for a pipe collector’s “Special” Deal.

Are they really German-made pipes? We think so, but we only know they arrived from a now-closed German pipe shop. They are all new, never smoked and ready for a new home.
